Stuff to help you pray

Here are some great prayer-related links:

Use Your Voice

The Bible is loaded with references telling us to be a voice for the voiceless, to stand with the suffering.

We passionately believe in the power of prayer, and the persecuted ask you to pray for them. Your prayers are powerful! Here, you’ll find a number of ways to get involved and help you pray.

“In the dream I was surrounded by many, many people – I didn’t recognise any of them but they all knew me – they were hugging me and calling my name and waving. I woke up and knew I was being prayed for by many people I had never met!”

Testimony from a prisoner in the Middle East

Shockwave

Join a united call to prayer for the persecuted.

They’re tortured and imprisoned; victims of injustice. Let them not be simply out of sight out of mind. Persecuted Christians live in the most dangerous places on the earth to follow Jesus.

They ask you to pray with them. A group of Muslim background believers in Egypt were asked how ‘we’ in the West could pray for them. ‘Please don’t pray for us,” they answered. ‘Please pray with us.’

One of them explained: “If you pray for us, you will pray for the wrong things. You will pray for our safety. You will pray that persecution will cease. But if you pray with us, you will ask God to bring millions of Egyptians to faith in Christ. You will pray that when the inevitable Muslim backlash comes because of our witness, we will be faithful, even if it costs us our lives.”

Unite with others across the nations and the time zones to pray with the persecuted over 2-4 March 2012. Make space over the weekend to use your voice, sign up to join the united call to pray…

The Tuesday Text

Every other Tuesday we send out THE TUESDAY TEXT at 7pm so we can(wherever we are!) unite and pray for brothers and sisters who need our prayers urgently.
