Saengchan and two friends from Laos were arrested because of their faith in Jesus. Here, they recount their experiences – and how they knew God was with them. As one of them told an Open Doors partner, “Even when I was in prison, I felt I was not alone. I felt your prayers.”
Saengchan says that when he was in prison he was asked over and over again to deny his faith in Jesus, but he refused. He lost his freedom to stay in a relationship with Jesus. That’s amazing enough, but thanks to support from local Open Doors partners, they were freed and the case against them was dropped… Now, relations between the small church and the rest of the community seem to have improved!
“Even when I was in prison, I felt I was not alone. I felt your prayers.”
Thank God that not only that Saengchan and his friends stood strong and were freed
That the house church Saengchan leads would continue to grow and a larger space would become available
That the community would change their attitude towards Christians
