We serve Christians around the world whose brave faith in Jesus means they are, beaten, threatened, imprisoned, tortured, falsely accused, disowned and hated.

WRITE TO: Narendran and Kavita IN INDIA

pattern

From miracles to church growth, Narendran* and Kavita* have seen God show his goodness in and through their lives. It’s deepened their faith, but it’s also brought hostility.

It culminated one night when the couple and other believers had met for prayer. A group of youngsters gathered at the gate of the church. They began verbally abusing the Christians, before then severely beating Narendran and Kavita.

The couple were deprived of treatment at the hospital, because of the influence of Hindu extremists on the doctors. But thanks to the pressure of pastors and lawyers, they eventually got the care they needed.

Narendran and Kavita continue to recover from their horrific ordeal. Narendran has stopped doing pastoral visits and doing outreach and their church has shrunk in size – all because of fear of further reprisals from the extremists.

But their faith remains strong, helped by your prayers and support. “We would have been living in fear and anxiety if you had not come to our aid,” says Kavita. “We are not alone. God’s people stand with us in our troubles and support us through prayer.”

You can continue to encourage them by writing to them – they’d love to hear from you!
