We serve Christians around the world whose brave faith in Jesus means they are, beaten, threatened, imprisoned, tortured, falsely accused, disowned and hated.

VIETNAM: “YOU NO LONGER HAVE A PLACE IN THIS VILLAGE”

pattern

Minh* and his wife live in a remote village IN VIETNAM with their three children. Like many in their community, they once followed the local religious and tribal beliefs. But when a close friend shared how Jesus transformed had his life, Minh and his family decided to follow JESUS.

That decision changed everything.

Peace filled their home, joy grew among them and family relationships flourished.

But their faith came at a cost.

As the family no longer followed the traditional local religion, they stopped taking part in certain rituals. This angered the village chief and elders. They summoned Minh and pressured him to renounce his faith. They threatened him saying: “If you don’t give up this foreign religion, you will no longer have a place in this village!”

Days later, Minh’s family woke up to a scene of destruction. Their front door had been shattered and part of their roof had been ripped open. Their vegetable garden, cornfields, and rice paddies were ruined. They cried out to God, they didn’t know who had done this—but they knew why. It was all because people were angry that they had become Christians.

Soon after, the local authorities ordered them to leave the village immediately. They weren’t even allowed to take their belongings. They had nowhere to go.

But, thankfully, God made a way.

A group of Christians from a nearby village stepped in. They brought the family food and supplies, and helped them build a temporary bamboo house. Throughout the whole ordeal, Minh’s faith didn’t waver. With quiet strength, he declared, “We know God is real. Even though we lost our home and community, we still follow Him.”

Please pray Minh and his family using the points below…
