We’ve just heard this piece of news from Open Doors contacts in Central Asia. Please pray for Azin (name changed for security reasons), a 13 year-old Christian who was recently beaten up because of his faith in Jesus.
He was attacked by a group of teenage boys who had learned that Azin had become a Christian.
His injuries were pretty bad, and he had to go to hospital for tests and got good treatment.
Fortunately, the doctors told Azin’s parents that his situation was not that bad, but, after a couple of days he started fainting – and they now think he may have epilepsy – he’s been back in hospital undergoing more tests.
Azin’s family are Christians, so are supporting him, but they have decided not to report the attack tot he police, most likely to avoid drawing any further attention to them.
For Azin’s health. Ask that he’ll make a full recovery, both physically and mentally. Pray that he’d know God’s love, protection and support at this time.
For Azin’s attackers to understand the pain and hurt they have caused and for them to come to know Jesus’ love and forgiveness.
For Azin’s family to be able to live out their faith without fear of violence or attacks.
